Add your online store to your Google Business Profile
People look for local shops on Google Search and Maps. Put your store link on your Business Profile, and the people who find you can see your items and send an order from the same place.
- 1
Copy your store link
In your dashboard, copy your store's short link. With Scale you can use your own domain instead.
- 2
Open your Business Profile
Sign in to Google with the account that manages your business, then search for your business name or go to business.google.com.
- 3
Add the link
Choose Edit profile, then Contact, and paste your store link in the Website field. Save, and Google shows a Website button on your profile.
- 4
Add order or product links
If your profile has a place for order links, or you add products to it, use your store link or the link of a single item. What Google shows depends on your business category and your country.
- 5
Mark the link so you can count it
Add ?utm_source=google to the end of the link you paste. Your analytics then show how many visitors came from Google.
Be there when people search
Someone looking for a shop near them sees your profile first, with your photos, hours and reviews. A link to a real store turns that moment into an order.
- Customers see your items and prices before they message you
- It works on a phone, where most Maps searches happen
- The link stays the same when you change items or prices
Keep your profile and your store in step
Use the same name, logo and phone number on both, so customers know they are in the right place. Your chat number can be the same number that is on your profile.
- Pick one shop name and use it everywhere
- Add your logo and cover picture to the store
- Write your delivery or pickup details once, in your store
See what Google sends you
Your dashboard shows visits and orders, and where visitors came from. Put the QR code on your shop window or counter for people who walk past, and its scans are counted on their own.
For shops with a door and for home businesses
If you serve customers at their home or sell from your own place, Google lets you hide your address and list the area you serve. Your store link works the same way in both cases.
