Terms of Use

The rules for using an online store on wastore.shop.

Using wastore.shop

wastore.shop gives you an online store page. Your customers pick items on it and send their order as a message to a chat number you provide. You and your customer then agree on payment and delivery in the chat.

wastore.shop is built by the team behind Whatslynk, and is a separate service with accounts of its own: an account on one is not an account on the other. We do not take payments from your customers, we do not deliver anything, and we are not a party to any sale between you and your customers.

Your store and content

  • You are responsible for everything in your store: the items, descriptions, prices, pictures, names and the chat number you add.
  • Only upload pictures and text you have the right to use.
  • Anyone with your store’s address can open it. A customer who sends an order is taken to your chat, so they will see your chat number. Only use a number you want customers to reach.
  • Visits and orders are counted, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Your customers and your sales

  • You are the seller. You are responsible for the products and services you offer, for delivering them, for refunds and complaints, for taxes, licences and consumer-protection rules in your country, and for how you handle your customers’ details.
  • Orders reach you as chat messages, and we also keep each order and booking for you in your dashboard until you delete it. You decide what the order form asks for, you are responsible for the customer details you collect and for deleting them when you no longer need them.
  • Keep your prices, opening hours and availability accurate.

What is not allowed

  • Selling or advertising anything illegal, including drugs, weapons, stolen or counterfeit goods, and anything you are not licensed to sell where you or your customers are.
  • Adult content or services, and content that is hateful, threatening or harassing.
  • Fraud and scams, including taking payment for goods you do not deliver, and asking customers for passwords or card details.
  • Spam, bulk or unsolicited messaging, or anything meant to mislead customers.
  • Impersonating a person or brand, including through your store’s name or address.
  • Malware, trying to disrupt the service, scraping it, or getting around limits.

Store addresses and domains

Your store has an address on wastore.shop (a short link and a name on this site). Names are first come, first served. We may remove or reassign a name that breaks these terms or imitates someone else. A name cannot be changed after it is created, because printed codes and shared links would stop working.

With Store+ you can use your own domain. Only connect a domain you control, and keep its settings in place. If the domain stops pointing to us, your store will not open there.

Payments, renewals and refunds

Store plans (Store and Store+) are sold by our payment provider, Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record. Paddle takes the payment, handles sales tax and VAT, and sends the invoice. Prices are shown in US dollars before tax.

A subscription renews by itself every month or year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your store dashboard, under Manage subscription. It then stops at the end of the period you paid for, and you keep your plan until that date. Changing between Store and Store+ is done in the same place and starts at once: a higher price is charged the difference right away, and a lower one leaves a credit that is used on your next bills.

If you are not happy, ask for a refund within 14 days of a payment through our contact page and we will refund it. A refunded payment ends the plan. The full rules are in our refund policy.

When a Store plan ends

When the paid period ends, your store goes offline and visitors see a short notice that it is unavailable. Your items, pictures and settings stay saved, and the store comes back as it was if you renew. We may delete a store that stays offline for a long time. A refunded or charged-back payment ends the plan straight away.

Enforcement

We may take a store offline, or close an account, that breaks these rules, with or without notice. To report a store, see our contact page.

Availability

We work to keep stores online, but the service is provided as is and may be unavailable at times. If a store is offline, deleted, or the service is down, customers cannot send orders from it.

WhatsApp

wastore.shop is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by WhatsApp or Meta. WhatsApp is a trademark of its owner.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost orders, lost sales, disputes with your customers, or damages from using or being unable to use the service.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use wastore.shop means you accept the updated terms.
